What's included

Dynamics 365 Finance modules, from general ledger to subscription billing

Here is what each part of Dynamics 365 Finance handles. We configure the modules your finance team needs and switch on others when you're ready.

  • General ledger & financial reporting

Chart of accounts, financial dimensions and fiscal calendars for every legal entity. Allocations, accruals and periodic journals run on schedule, and financial reports read straight from the ledger.

  • Accounts payable

Vendor invoices captured, matched to purchase orders and receipts, and routed for approval. Payment proposals pay the right vendors on time, with the history behind every payment.

  • Accounts receivable, credit & collections

Customer invoicing, credit limits and holds, and a collections workspace that shows aging, activity history and follow-ups for each customer in one place.

  • Cash & bank management

Bank accounts, statement import and reconciliation, and cash flow forecasts built from open payables, receivables, orders and budgets.

  • Budgeting & budget control

Build budgets by department, project or any dimension, then let budget control check spending against budget before purchases and journals are posted.

  • Fixed assets & asset leasing

Acquire, depreciate, revalue and dispose of assets under each book's rules. Asset leasing calculates lease schedules and postings under IFRS 16 and ASC 842.

  • Consolidation & intercompany

Consolidate any number of legal entities and currencies, eliminate intercompany balances, and post intercompany transactions on both sides automatically.

  • Tax & regulatory compliance

Sales tax calculated by jurisdiction, including Canadian GST/HST and PST, with regulatory reporting and electronic invoicing for the countries you operate in.

  • Subscription billing & revenue

Recurring and milestone billing schedules, revenue and expense deferrals, and revenue allocation across bundled items, included with Dynamics 365 Finance.

Expense management, cost accounting and public sector features are also part of Dynamics 365 Finance. Purchasing, inventory and manufacturing sit in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management. Together, the two are what most people call Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O).

AI agents & Copilot

Agents that take routine work off your finance team

Dynamics 365 Finance now includes AI agents that handle repetitive steps and bring answers into the tools your team already uses.

Agent

Account Reconciliation Agent

Matches bank and ledger transactions for you and highlights only the exceptions, so reconciliations are ready for review sooner and your team checks what matters.

Agent

Finance Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot

Brings Dynamics 365 Finance data into Outlook and Excel, so your team can answer variance questions, prepare follow-ups and update figures without switching systems.

Agent

Custom agents

Automate your own finance processes, such as invoice matching or approval follow-ups, with agents built in Copilot Studio. We help you choose, design and govern them.

Agent and Copilot availability depends on your licences, region and Microsoft's release schedule. We'll confirm what's included for you.

FAQ

Questions about Dynamics 365 Finance

Is Dynamics 365 Finance right for us, or is Business Central a better fit?

Finance suits larger or multi-entity organizations with complex accounting, tax or global requirements. Growing businesses that want financials, sales and inventory in one simpler system are often better served by Business Central. We'll help you compare honestly in a short call.

Can you license Dynamics 365 Finance for us?

Yes. As a Microsoft Indirect Reseller (CSP) we supply the licences, help you choose the right ones for each type of user, and manage renewals. For list prices, see Microsoft's Dynamics 365 Finance pricing page.

Are the AI agents included?

Agent availability depends on your licences, region and Microsoft's release schedule. We'll confirm what's available to you and help you switch on the ones that make sense.

How long does an implementation take?

Most single-entity Finance & Operations implementations take 13–17 weeks from kickoff to go-live. See our implementation method for how we run each phase.

What's the difference between Dynamics 365 Finance and Finance and Operations?

Finance and Operations (F&O) is the common name for Microsoft's finance and operations apps, the successor to Dynamics AX. The two main apps are Dynamics 365 Finance, for financial management, and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, for purchasing, inventory, manufacturing and warehousing. They are licensed separately and share one database, so many organizations run both. See our Finance & Operations services.

We're on Dynamics AX. Can we move to Dynamics 365 Finance?

Yes. We assess your AX customizations and data, rebuild what you still need as extensions, migrate your data and retire the old servers. Upgrade from AX explains how we run the move.
